Apple officially announced the Apple special event with the theme of "It's Glowtime", the long-awaited launch of the new iPhone 16, which will take place on Monday, September 9 at 10 a.m. at Apple Park in Cupertino, California. The event is expected to unveil the latest iPhone, Apple Watch and AirPods.
Well-known tech reporter Mark Gurman claimed that the Apple fall event was actually moved up a day, mainly because on that day (September 10, Eastern Time), Vice President Harris and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump will hold their first televised debate. As the US election approaches the decisive moment, this debate has attracted the attention of the world, and Apple has to temporarily avoid the limelight.
It is reported that the upcoming iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will have a larger screen, and have new camera features, such as a new button for photography. But the focus of the Apple September event is expected to be Apple Intelligence, the set of artificial intelligence tools that will be integrated into all new iPhones.

It is not yet known what Glowtime in the theme refers to, but some analysts speculate that it is a generative AI tool. At WWDC 2024 in June, Apple unveiled some first tools powered by Apple Intelligence, from the personalized Genmoji (AI-generated emojis) to the smart Siri.
While some AI features are already available to iPhone 15 Pro Max owners, the upcoming iPhone 16 is expected to be Apple's first truly AI-powered device.
In addition to the new iPhones, Apple is also preparing to make major changes to Apple Watch lineup and improve AirPods. It is reported that the Apple Watch Series 10 will be thinner but will come with a larger screen. The company also plans to launch a new version of the low-cost Apple Watch SE with a plastic case.
